    This is probably my favorite bookshop in Europe. I've been going here (and their branch in The Hague) for 20 years.

    can i move in, please?
    i unfortunately only spent a short time (and everything under an hour or two is too short!) in there, or should i say fortunately because in about 15 to 20 minutes i found 5 books plus i wanted to take home with me. i remembered my small carry on bag in time and left with a magazine, vegan cookbook and the latest Vonnegut collection (i miss the man!).
    wonderful place with great funny staff and i cannot wait to get back.

    A huge selection of English books, nicely arranged. The staff is very helpful and the arrangement of the books makes one feel like a child in book-heaven.

    One of my very favourite bookstores in Amsterdam. The bookshelfs are arranged around the stairs in a very impressive way. Very good selection of design and art books on ground flour, but also the sections literature, cooking (food & sex), business and psychology on the upper levels are worth a browse. All books are in English. Students and ABC card holders get 10% discount. The friendly and personal staff organizes events around books and authors (ABC Treehouse) on a regular basis.
