  Artis is quite a spacious zoo and a well designed one too. The renewed Ape house is home to some pretty cool reptiles. In December and January Artis organizes the so-called winter evenings, a stroll through the zoo is then even more exciting.

  Totally off topic (or is it?) I adore the zoo's mascot, Artis de Partis!

  Artis is the oldest zoo of the Netherlands and situated in the heart of Amsterdam with many animals and monumental buildings like the Aquarium, Zoological & Geological Museum and a Planetarium. I have been there twice and would definitely go there again.
