Hans Wurst Vegan Cafe Reviews (3)
The best thing about Hans Wurst ist the Sunday brunch.
It's by far the best vegan brunch in town with a huge buffet that they refill all day long. the atomosphere is great, too.
in my book, they only get four stars for two reasons: 1) as soon as it gets busy things go pear shaped. they run out of change, they lose orders, etc. it's not a big deal, they only just started last year and don't have that much experience. 2) i just cannot recommend "milk"-dinks. i have in the past ordered a hot chocolate as well as wheat coffee with "milk" and both times, it tasted vile. i suspect they use wheat milk instead of soy milk or a very bitter soy milk or i don't know but i couldn't get either drink down my throat. so the advice is: order tea or coffee without milk or sneak in you own soy milk calcium. ;-)
don't let me put you off though. it's my favourite café in town and as an additional bonus, they do concerts, too, with a good taste in music.
Wunderbar.
Hans Wurst is very inexpensive for what you get, 100% organic vegan food, but it's just a tad expensive to eat there every day. More of a place to go to have a treat.
The food is great and a little birdie told me they are also going to have some easy food as well, maybe tofu burgers etc, for us people who have limited budgets.
I love the free wifi, and just chillin' out there on lazy afternoons. I definitely recommend giving it a try.
Wow!
at last a full veg restaurant in Prenzlauer Berg, and open until midnight Tues-Sun. Totally smoke free, vegan, organic, free WiFi, excellent music played and the food is tasty and healthy, if that is possible. Prices are very reasonable.
Great place to chill with a drink or to eat good food.
