Je kunt vanaf vandaag foto’s uploaden op Tupalo

Vanaf vandaag kun je foto’s toevoegen aan je favoriete spots en aan je reviews. Omdat we tegelijkertijd klussen aan een nieuwe ‘category page’ (en met de update van ons spot ranking algoritme), wordt Tupalo.com visueel een stuk interessanter! Ik zet tegenwoordig geen voet binnen een tent als ik niet tenminste een foto van de entree en een gerechtje of twee kan bekijken op het wereld wijde web. Goed, iedereen kan nu foto’s uploaden, direct – vanaf zijn of haar computer – of via externe services als Flickr of Youtube, om videos te embedden.

Onze ‘trusted users‘ konden al langer foto’s uploaden. En wij speelden zelf al enkele maanden met de feature. Ik daag je uit om mijn record (1445 kiekjes in totaal) te verbreken! ;)

Je kunt de kiekjes die je hebt geupload terugvinden op je profiel, onder het tabje ‘toegevoegde media’.

Probeer het uit en laat ons vooral weten wat je ervan vindt!

You can now add pictures to your favorite spots on Tupalo

As of today you can add pictures to your favorite spot or to your review. What with us also moving swiftly to a new category page design (and with our updated spot ranking algorithm in place), we are making things way more visually interesting! You can upload pictures directly from your computer, or use external services like Flickr or Vimeo to embed videos.

For some time our trusted users had the opportunity to try out our photo upload feature. We ourselves played around with it too of course. Floor – I add media – Drees uploaded up to 1445 pictures! Now we’d like to see you beat that! ;)

You can find the pictures you uploaded on your profile, right under the tab ‘added media’.

Be sure to check it out and upload some of those snapshots of your lunch (so we can check out where to go next)!

The Secret Order of Tupalo badge – and it’s special powers

You might recognize this badge. Lucky you, it means that one of our community managers thinks you play a valuable role in discovering and sharing the best business in your neighborhood! Not entirely sure if you are one of the few owners of this badge (or disabled your email-notifications)? Search for it on your personal profile!

Now we don’t just hand these out. You have to either work for Tupalo or be an active tupalero. For instance by reviewing spots, adding businesses or checking in often. Earning it puts you at the top of our user list for exclusive community events, parties and giveaways. And our trusted users have some extra rights. They can verify links to businesses’ websites (if awesome / useful) on spot pages. And they are the first to try out new features. Wondered why so many pictures appear – seemingly out of the blue – on Tupalo.com lately? That’s the work of our tupalero’s, being the only ones to test our picture upload feature!
