The last days in Warsaw were really awesome… Sunny, no clouds, 30 degrees… so all you had to do, was relax. The Tupaduck and I decided to walk around Warsaw. Firstly we visited the main street (Nowy Śwat) and we got ourselves awesome tasting ice-cream from Limoni Cafe. If you plan to visit Warsaw, you just have to go there and order delicious desserts and coffee. After that we barely could move but somehow we managed (poor duck… such a huge portion of ice-cream ;))
We decided to visit gardens situated above the University of Warsaw Library. What’s interesting, gardens are located on the top of the building, on the roof. They are really beautiful and the view is amazing. Tupaduck was really impressed (as you can see that in the photos).
After that we, decided we needed MORE ice-cream and went to Lody na Patyku, a very popular place. Tupaduck fell in love with this place and just couldn’t decide which ice-cream to choose. After 10 minutes we choose vanilla and caramel with chocolate (I’d rather do not count how many calories it was :O).
While finishing our ice-cream we went to Cud nad Wisłą. It’s a pub located near the river, with a sandy beach and deck chairs. Beautiful view, great music and awesome drinks… All you need basically. During the week there are a lot of concerts and during the weekend – parties. My ‘feathered friend’ and I enjoyed sunbathing and a bottle of coke together.
After that, we went for a long walk along the river and sat down by the fountain. In hot days you can meet lots of people who want to cool off . Every night at 9 p.m. you can see there really amazing light show of the fountain there. In Warsaw you just HAVE to go there.
Of course I didn’t forget to showing the Tupaduck our Old Town and Warsaw Castle. Those places are so amazing, that it s worth visiting them. Afterwards we were really tired and hungry (we can eat a lot) so we went for a pizza to Trattoria Rucola. Awesome restaurant, delicious Italian food.
My blue friend definitely loved Warsaw and will come back soon!
