The Drahtwarenhandlung is a private shared office upstairs, and a small restaurant downstairs.
Open only on Friday and Saturday nights from 6-2, they serve a different, creative four-course menu (with vegetarian choices as well) each week.
When I was there, every course involved apricots in some way, but it's not always that gimmicky. Check their website for the current menu -- but beware that they close during the summer.
The food was pretty good, and the variety, creativity and atmosphere make this a winner -- I'll certainly come again.

Minimalistically furnished bar/club near the Flakturm with plain walls, electronic music, and lots and lots of art students.
It sometimes doubles as a gallery. A little hard to find, but worth the effort.

A fine alternative to nearby Elektro Gönner or Futuregarden for going out for drinks at night in the 6th district.
Indie music in the background, not too loud to talk.

The Luftbad is a cozy, intimate, down-to-earth bar tucked away in a small street near the Apollo cinema.
It has a little stage, which often hosts local funk/soul/acoustic/world music/jam/hip-hop bands.
I haven't spent a lot of time there, but I've always gotten the impression that everyone else in the room knows eachother personally. Although that's probably because we actually crashed a private birthday party the first time we wandered in. I gotta say, the cake was delicious.

Relaxed, loungy bar with an attached absinthe shop.
It attracts a somewhat upscale crowd, but less so than other places this close to the WU.

Mexican restaurant and cocktail bar.
The Quesedilla I had (which the menu claims isn't availible anywhere else outside of Mexico) was good, they're open until 2 am, and supposedly they also have wifi.
You might not want to sit right at the windows, since a Trafik directly across the street has put up a distracting LCD that continually shows commercials. How lame.
