first of all - this spot is really a tiny cafè!
since it's so small, you rarely find a free table. but when you do, you should take the chance and enjoy a nice cappuccino (I like it there, very foamy) or something. it's nice to sit outside when it's sunny. the square with the fountain - it's just pretty. a very cute spot right in the first district, hidden and quiet, almost no tourists.

this is really one of my favourite places in vienna!
the food is more than delicious. the pastries are heaven (check out fruth for this). the employees are totally nice. everything is cute and SO french. sadly it's hard to get a seat outside when it's sunny on weekends. make a reservation if you plan to go there.
but this spot is really - a treasure!

phil is a very cute cafè!
the prices are really fair, the coffee tastes very good and they pute cute little stars on the cappoccino :) .
you can either sit in cosey couches or outside, which is definitively a plus on hot summer days. there's a veriety of snacks to shoose from too.
what makes this place really special is the book-/music/-movie- store inside. you're allowed to grab a book and look at it while enjoying a drink. I thought that was totally cute. they have a very nice collection of stuff! very alternative, a lot of artsy books - really, really nice. you can also buy the whole furniture of that cafè.
a very chilled backplace, stylish, friendly, … - really nothing to complain about!

since I live right around the corner, this has to be one of my favourite bakeries.
it's a very cute place indeed, kinda' typically viennese.
this bakery has a restaurant and cafè too. the furishing is very baroque, you feel like at kaiser's times. you can also have nice breakfast and sit outside when it's warm. it's the perfect place to watch old people ;) - cute, cute, cute!
the cakes are delicious!! they have a lot of pastries and I think everything is very fresh. the employees are insanely nice! if you buy something, you often get something for free.
by the way, I think that you get the best "krapfen" at bäckerei schwarz!
only a little pricey. but worth it.
