One of my favorite pizzerias in Vienna.
Michele is a charmer, speaking Italian, German and English and is always a gracious host. Small and cozy atmosphere, candle-lit dinners and wonderful ambient lighting. It's quite difficult to get a table some evenings, so, making a reservation ahead of time is a good way to make sure your date is a success.

I have to admit, having never been to Panhandle I was pleasantly surprised with their soy cheese.
The shop however was a bit small and looked like the bathroom of an old west saloon, but their kindness made up for it. The owner was shutting down the shop when my ragtag group of vegan, vegetarian and carnivorous video game developers from Austria and Germany walked in, but he was kind enough to open back up, stick some pizzas back in the oven, and even sat down with us talking about the games industry, pizza in Europe and ourselves.
The bosses, delivery guy and cook even took photos with us before we left, turning the quiet street into a strobe jungle when 6-7 flash bulbs started rapidly pulsing as the photo war ensued.
Pizza was quite ok, possibly because we smooth talked our way into getting some extra handfuls of toppings tossed on top.
This was awhile ago, but I've since heard their ownership has changed and that the friendliness of the place has gone downhill.

Without a doubt one of the best damn pizza joints in Miami.
A bit small, but even more of a reason to visit and try their giant sized whole pies or slices.

One of my favorite pizza delivery services in Wien.
Holzofen pizza at an extremely great(meaning LOW) price, with extremely quick delivery service.

This pizzeria is almost legendary in Vienna.
Their pizzas are HUGE, but not as large as the actual restaurant themselves. Notice the plural, because they are huge. There are at least 3 different dining areas covering almost the whole block in giant greasy pizza goodness.
The service is great, with what seems to be 2 employees for every customer. In the summer they have a huge outdoor seating area on a nice (mostly) quiet street.

Really good pasta and pizza, at a not so high price.
The lunch menu was quite ok and they even have a special business lunch menu, which falls in around 8 EUR or so. Not the greatest pizza or pasta in Wien, but if you ever find yourself in front of the famous Cafe Hawelka and are in-need of some good quality Italian food, just make your way across the small street.
Trattoria Santo Stefano also has a very interesting-looking antipasti buffet, which seemed to have quite a few vegetarian options, and their wine menu looked large and varied enough to interest the pickiest of wine connoisseurs.
Tip, their garlic breadsticks are awe-some!

High quality 'fast food' Italian in an extremely busy location in the heart of Wien.
The idea is great, a techno-friendly card system, with wireless notification devices. Order your pasta or pizza, sit down and wait for your little device to buzz letting you know that your feed is ready for pickup.
Pizza and pasta were super fresh, with great quality ingredients, though it's not quite authentic ("our pizza marinara has cheese and ham on it" - huh??).
This location is mega-busy around lunch, busy like, 8 people deep lines to wait in. But every line had a small line of little extras you can toss on your food, 2 types of olive oil, fresh peppers, parmesan cheese, dried oregeno and other goodies. Nice touch.
