Try the "Limited Meal" from Tue-Fri for lunch. Limited meal means that there are only certain dishes available, but of these as much as you like. You can choose, if you want a vegan, a vegetarian or a mixed (with meat) plate. When you are finished, you will be asked, if you want more. As long as there is enough food, you can have more. :) I also recommend the Masala tea. Dulika, the waitress, is a very nice young woman. Don't be too impatient when she doesn't appear at your table immediately, but the place is quite big and she mostly is the only waitress (apart from a guy who serves drinks).

Went there yesterday for lunch. I had the Gyoza menu with miso soup and melon. The miso soup was delicious, the Gyoza were, too, although they were slightly burned at the edges. My friend had the Tori-Don menu and said it was delicious. The owner seems to have learned German (at least a bit). :)

Went there yesterday with my Shaolin group - we were 12 people (9 Austrians, 1 German, 1 Chinese, 1 Taiwanese). We ordered the Green Menu (Vegetarian) for 6 people and the White Menu for 6 people. You can read about the dishes here: http://www.zumkaiserlichenthron.at/menu-english-06-07.pdf The food was incredibly good. Very fresh and a great variety. They also have different kinds of tea (there's a separate tea menu). I can highly recommend the food. We were all very satisfied and full. :)

The Club Berlin (or CB) was my favorite pub for many years. It has expanded last year and took over the former shop besides to enlarge the area on the ground floor. You will find 3 rooms in the cellar: A, B and C (or Club) Room. Nowadays many young people make reservations for celebrating parties, but in the old times everybody was partying and even dancing on the bar (watch your head because of the low ceiling). I had a great time there and sometimes come back to chat with other people who spent as much time at the CB as I did when I was younger (gosh, I feel old!). I loved the "Fladen" (toasted Turkish white bread with different toppings), especially in the middle of the night when I had too many drinks and needed to sober up a bit. The only negative thing for me is that everybody smokes and after a while you feel like you just can't take it anymore, because you will asphyxiate.

Delicious food, very different from any other Chinese restaurant. They don't use glutamate. I was brave enough to try the Jellyfish salad as a starter and it was delicious. The chicken with vegetables and chestnuts was wonderful. The place is quite small and you better make a reservation. The only thing I don't like about it is that this place doesn't have a non-smoking area. Although there were only 2 people smoking at the time I was there, they were doing it almost constantly, which can get really annoying, especially when the smoke drifts towards you while you are eating and trying to taste the delicious food, but rather taste the smoke from the cigarettes. *blah*

Great Mexican food and great Cocktails. The Mojito is the best I've tasted in Vienna so far. The owner is Mexican. It just seems that there is not a "regular" waitress, since the one which worked last time I was there didn't speak German very good and forgot twice what we ordered. She didn't seem to be experienced in waiting at all. But other than that - nice atmosphere, great food (try the Camarones Veracruz!).

Delicious north Indian food. You will receive a starter on a small spoon on the house. :) The lentil soup is spicy and delicious and if you ask, you can get your dish more spicy. :) The owner is Mr. Anil Gupta, a very nice man, married to an Austrian woman. When he has time, he's up to a chat with the guests. I'd recommend on a reservation, especially in the evenings. Sundays and Holidays closed!

"Japanese Homecooking" at its best! I've been there many times, but haven't managed to try all the dishes, yet. My favorite is the Oyakodon, but everything is delicious and fresh made by the friendly couple from Kyoto.

I have to rate it with one star although I'd prefer to rate it with zero stars. Went there a few days ago after having watched a movie at the Kuenstlerhaus Kino. I was craving good Thai food and because I had been to the "Siam" before (although years back), I thought they'd serve good Thai food. I was mistaken. When I entered a group of Thai women were sitting at the second table from the entrance, chatting away. Nobody greeted me. I said hello, only one of the women (who was NOT the waitress) replied. I went to a table to sit down. Only one other table was occupied with 4 guests (it was about 8pm). I ordered Tom Yam Gung and Green Beef Curry with rice. The soup consisted of mostly (canned?) mushrooms and a few shrimp. It tasted neither spicy, nor sour (like I would expect it). But the greatest disappointment was the "green curry". It wasn't creamy (like I'd think because of the coconut milk used), it was thin and very oily. Besides some beef there were some potatoes, one small piece of red chili (which wasn't spicy) and a few pieces of holy basil and lime leaves. Not at all what I'd expect from a green curry. The waitress didn't once reappear at my table, asking, if I wanted any dessert. She sat at the table near the entrance, chatting with the other Thai women (who were eating as well - but hopefully better food than the one I was served). When she didn't appear and the guests from the other table wanted to pay as well, one of these guests went to fetch her. I paid and she didn't even say thank you (although I gave her a tip, because it wasn't her who was the cook). I left the restaurant disappointed, having spent 22€ for nothing. I can't recommend this restaurant anymore.

Hatte das letzte Mal Kimchi Zzigae, eine Art Eintopf mit Schweinefleisch und Kimchi (scharfer, eingelegter Rettich und Kohl). Große Portion, schön scharf und heiß. Bedienung sehr freundlich. Gehe immer wieder gerne hin.
