Paul is my favorite bakery chain in France.
Their products are awesome. In this branch, they not only sell bread and pastry to go, but also serve excellent salads, quiches, etc. in their restaurant. It's quite hectic during lunch though.

I've been there twice now, once in summer, once in winter (september 2008 = winter).
I like the food and the decoration. I don't think it's expensive - the lunch menu items are all around 6-7 euros, even with the Gedeck (0.50E) that's about the same as similar restaurants in the area. The staff is a little odd - one time, the waiter removed my friend's soup bowl while she still had her last spoon of soup in her hand...

Ambitious food, comparable to the food (and price range) at Palmenhaus ( http://tupalo.com/spot/330 ). A 3 course lunch for 15 Euro is actually pretty good value, and the food was intricate and tasty (although the main course was perhaps a bit blander than it should have been considering the huge amount of ingredients). Their little courtyard terrace feels charmingly ad hoc, and the service was great.
