Nice place, very good brunch buffet.

Friendly service. Open on Sunday. Too bad you can't sit outside.

The Urania is a well-known building / school / cinema, but it also contains a cafe / restaurant which is quite nice.

Fancy interior, decent food, nice view.

Another great stylish pan-asian.

Good food, nice interior. Nice plum wine. Not so good for vegetarians. Creepy semi-transparent bathroom doors.

One of the better Irish pubs in Vienna.

Decent food, Guinness, etc. A good place to meet expats, although occasionally it's a place for expats to complain about Austria. This becomes boring after a while.

Went here again last night.

The service was excellent, the guy running the non-smoking section (at least, on weekdays) has one of the best attitudes for a waiter I've seen in Vienna. The food was good, not great. Don't hold back and order your steaks rare - medium-rare won't get you the blood. The fries were too salty, but apart from that I had no complaints.

The non-smoking section is a courtyard lit by daylight (it didn't used to be part of the restaurant proper). I personally prefer the interior, looks-wise, and their air conditioning, is quite good so you can hardly tell it's the smoking section. I may sit there next time.

I forgot to mention they do excellent Thanksgiving dinners, both on Thanksgiving Thursday and on the Friday after that.

I've been here a lot more often since my first review.

Their Kalbsbutterschnitzel is to die for. They have a very affordable Mittagsmenue, with a great Gulash as a fallback solution.

Giving it 5 stars so my reviews average to 4...

One of the better Italian restaurants in Vienna, imho.

Great pizzas and bruschetta. Comes with authentic Italian (Neapolitan?) attitude.

I was here a week or so ago.

Excellent risotto out in the sun, very friendly service (duh, the waitress was from Burgenland, not Vienna...), and they let us sit on the terrace even after they'd closed it for other customers.

And hey, I went here because I read Dana's review. The system works!

The actual address is Burggarten - it is the big glass-roofed building inside the Burggarten.

But this site can't handle that address (yet? :P)

Well-known place. Central location. Cool architecture. Nice in summer and winter. Hard to get a seat outside in summer. Good for coffee, drinks, food. Food is nice but slightly too expensive for what it is. But it remains almost always a good place to go.

Paul is my favorite bakery chain in France.

Their products are awesome. In this branch, they not only sell bread and pastry to go, but also serve excellent salads, quiches, etc. in their restaurant. It's quite hectic during lunch though.

Perhaps the best known of the durchgestylte pan-asian restaurants, complete with cool creation myth / origin story about the interior of a Chinese restaurant from Berlin that was shipped to Vienna.

Some people don't like it, but I do. Cute interior decoration, attractive wait staff, good food for a decent price, and a killer cocktail bar in the basement. What else does one want?

The only thing I could complain about is their supercomplex menu with various groups of dishes coming on- and offline at certain times. I once managed to be in the 60 minute time window where there was, basically, no food. But meh, it's pretty rare.

If someone knows a place with better pad thai in Vienna: let me know.

This used to be a Haaegen-Dasz, now it's an Israeli restaurant.

I still don't know how I feel about losing the Haaegen-Dasz :P, but it's a good place to get Israeli food. It looks a bit like a kebab place at first glance, but it isn't. The cook puts a lot of effort into this food, and serves vegan food as well (as in falafel).

I must have eaten here more often than any other restaurant in Vienna. Chinese, dim sum, sushi, Japanese, Korean, you name it. They have vegan and vegetarian options too. Unpretentious but efficient and inexpensive. The waitstaff will grow to like you, eventually.

(Come on you hypocrits! :D)

I had one of the best meals of my life here - certainly one of the best in Vienna.

The food was good. The interior is Austrian, country-style. The service was beyond excellent (when were you last greeted by name in a restaurant you had only been to once before?). Very friendly, even though me and my friends were dressed like tourists. A big wine list, an even bigger Schnapps list, and they claim to have the right glass for every Schnapps.
