I had a salade nicoise here today, with a tarte tatin for dessert.
Nice terrace, friendly waiters, decent food.

To get there: go in through the main entrance, then take a left and follow the lane.
They have an outside terrace which they close at some point, then another terrace which is in a courtyard and doesn't close. I didn't quite get the difference.
They have a limited choice of food, and for some reason they stop serving hot drinks after 9 PM, which is annoying when it's still a bit cold in the evening (like just now).

Decent, unexceptional Austrian food.
Their outside space is under an arcade, making it a good place to eat when the sun is beating down.

I can't believe I didn't already write a review for this place.
(Seriously, I could've sworn I had done so.)
Anyway. Nice, traditional Viennese cafe. With this I mean: unlike most traditional Viennese cafes, it's nice (*shakes fist at Prueckl and Sperl and their ilk*). Good food, decent coffee, decent service, nice ambience, good location, terrace in summer.
Right next to Haydn - a good place to meet before a movie. Also a good place to chat for 4 hours or more, something I have done here on several occasions.
Try the steak toast.

Just had lunch here.
Best Backhendlsalat ever - way beyond 'a Schnitzel on some green leaves'. Also good coffee and Strudel, and all for a very reasonable price!

One of the best Mexican restaurants in Vienna - legend has it the only one with a Mexican cook.
The food is great, so are the prices. They have a huge outdoor area in the back.

Very nice but quite small (doy) cafe in the middle of the 1st district.
Very cool terrace in the summer. Their Bauernomelettes are the best omelettes in town I know of.

Don't be put off by the bad website, or this paragraph: "Als Szenetreff für die anspruchsvollen Barbesucher Wiens, hat sich die Kruger´s American Bar ab 18 Uhr als Geheimtipp für Manager und Geschäftsleute entwickelt, die bei einem Cocktail, Whiskey oder auch einer feinen Zigarre mit Ihren Geschäftsfreunden zu angenehmer Musik den Geschäftstag ausklingen lassen wollen.
"
(Although it should give you an indication of their usual clientele.) This is a great cocktail bar in the more traditional style (a la Planter's Club, but unlike, say, Schultz). Good cocktails, nice decor, you can sit outside in summer and watch goth kids walk by. What more do you want?

This place rocks.
Good food & drink, nice terrace, nice interior. Good music every once in a while too - I saw DJ DSL here once.

Classical bistro food, not exceptional, but tasty. Good service.

Good turkish food for a decent price.
A lot of space inside and a terrace outside in summer.

I was here a week or so ago.
Excellent risotto out in the sun, very friendly service (duh, the waitress was from Burgenland, not Vienna...), and they let us sit on the terrace even after they'd closed it for other customers.
And hey, I went here because I read Dana's review. The system works!

This place is set up for high throughput more than anything else.
The food is a cliche and not that great, but it is consistent and there's always a place to sit outside in summer.

I've been there twice now, once in summer, once in winter (september 2008 = winter).
I like the food and the decoration. I don't think it's expensive - the lunch menu items are all around 6-7 euros, even with the Gedeck (0.50E) that's about the same as similar restaurants in the area. The staff is a little odd - one time, the waiter removed my friend's soup bowl while she still had her last spoon of soup in her hand...

Just had lunch here.
Ambitious food, comparable to the food (and price range) at Palmenhaus ( http://tupalo.com/spot/330 ). A 3 course lunch for 15 Euro is actually pretty good value, and the food was intricate and tasty (although the main course was perhaps a bit blander than it should have been considering the huge amount of ingredients). Their little courtyard terrace feels charmingly ad hoc, and the service was great.
