war jetzt einmal wieder dort. ich find das neue an-do ein bisschen over-arty und steril. mal sehen, aber ich befürchte richtig wohlfühlen werd ich mich dort nicht mehr :(

it's pretty well hidden in a former industrial area and one has to know that there's this little cafe beside huge chimneys and old abandoned buildings. the surrounding is pretty arty, so there are places where people can spray graffitis, work in studios, etc. the people are very relaxed and friendly and you get good coffee, lemonades as well as homemade cookies and cake. as far as i know they only have open during summer.

by the way 'aaltopelti' means corrugated iron, because the cafe is in a wooden building with a roof out of corrugated iron.

es finden regelmäßig live events statt, die von kabarett hin zu lesungen und konzerten reichen.

der vordere bereich ist als cafe gestaltet - im hinteren bereich gibt's sofas zum chillen. das ambiente ist sehr arty, aber doch auch wieder irgendwie charmant. mit dem service war ich zufrieden.

time to chill.

legendär sind die donnerstäglichen ping-pong-nights. des öfteren finden dort auch release-partys einschlägiger magazine wie the gap oder tba statt.
