Ranges from mild to extremely spicey, features a good range of vegetarian dishes too.

The waiters are very friendly, but do have quite an interesting sense of humor sometimes. You have been warned.

The restaurant itself is full with old portraits of unknown strangers, adding to the gloomy atmosphere.

Thus, it features lot's of traditional warm cuisine from the Kyoto area, and other japanese specials that you won't find anywhere else easily.

The owners are very polite and motivated, sometimes a little overworked so be sure to bring some patience if you visit during rush hour.

Be sure to try the eel and the spicy pickles salads!

Ask for current specials, the waitress speaks a little german but is very friendly.

Ordering Noodle Soup specifically without meat will result in a slightly cheaper vegan soup with lots of seasonal vegetables and tofu fake meat.
