Crossfields makes me miss my time in Australia.

Whilst having much mumbo-jumbo on the walls on the first floor(like a stuffed crocodile, a stuffed wallaby and the infamous aussie roadsigns) and the cellar designed like an opal mine, Crossfields equally delivers good burgers and carrys a good selection of Aussie beers as well.

As one of Vienna's "true" Aussie pubs, Crossfields pleasantly does not stick to the usual Fosters and XXXX selection, but equally offers VB (Victoria), Tooheys New (New South Wales), Crown Lager, Ayer's Rock Red (probably from the Northern Territory, even though the rock should not be called Ayers Rock but rather Uluru) and many more. They even carry Bundaberg Rum!

The food is good, but rather costly and definitely not outstanding; if you are adventurous, you can go for the fried grasshoppers.

A big plus is that the staff comprises genuine Aussies and not only some Scottish/Irish folks pretending to be from OZ.

If you want to breathe Aussie air, Crossfields is the spot for you, if a little exaggerated though.

PS: The name crossfields is a literal translation of the owner's family surname "Kreuzfeld".
