I have spent many nights at this place and one beer followed the other. Whilst not having the same range of selection as Crossfields, Billabong is a nice place that reminds me of the upper-class (but not high-class) bars around Sydney's Circular Quay and Darling Harbour.

Friendly staff, hoewever no Aussies at all, but rather coming from different countries all over Europe (which is quite Aussie too).

Good food (especially the Burgers and the Surf&Turf), a mediocre selection of Aussie beers (Fosters, XXXX and VB). Prices are overall OK, given the daily specials at lunchtime (Thursday = Burgers Day e.g.).

Recently, Billabong has extended its multimedia capabilities and now shows different sports channels via one big screen and 4 to 5 flat-TV-sets.

You may watch Cricket and Rugby there, if you really want to. Soccer, of course, is shown almost everyday, be it the Austrian Bundesliga or any other league, thanks to satellite pay TV.

Furthermore, Billabong offers some Aussie-style events, most notably Trivia-Nights.

A big plus is the location right next to the U3 station "Stubenring/Dr. Karl Lueger Platz".
