Had my 50mm lens fixed at that place after I dropped and broke it.
I have to say that I'm overall happy with the very personal service: price estimation immediately given at the counter, repair-time estimation the next day by phone and actually fixed lens one day after that (spare parts were on stock, otherwise it would have taken 10 days to order them).
Definitely a recommendation if you have problems with your photo equipment.

cosy place to hang out with interesting events on the program.
it's meant more as an open art space than bar - beer, wine and soft drinks are offered as self service from the fridge, together with good pay-what-you-like food (not necessarily vegetarian/vegan). only open Wednesday to Friday.
worth five stars because it's by far the best option to go in that neighborhood and because of the missing "L"!

It actually took me two visits to figure out why DQM is special.
The first time I thought, well, four popular sneaker brands sitting on shelves don't make a sneakers speciality store. Soon I figured that most models I've seen at DQM are nowhere else to be found. Next time I went, I stepped out with a nice pair of Vans, only seen at DQM so far.

For those who like huge hand cut piles of meat in a vintage atmosphere, Katz's Deli is your place of choice.
It's not only tourists who enjoy their pastrami and reuben sandwiches there. The fact that you'll see probably more locals than tourists is usually a good indicator for restaurants.

Working close to Schwedenplatz and knowing almost every fast food spot in that area I can say that this is one of the best local places for a quick lunch break.

Kiang wraps and sushi-boxes you get at Billa at Schwedenplatz too, closer to Donaukanal, if you plan to sit down and eat there.

The barbecue tables are great if you like meat. They offer a really nice selection of delicious meat variations. The vegetarian side of the barbecue menu is a little boring, with only two dishes, some vegetable mix and tofu to chose from, not too exciting.

It's a really nice old movie theatre, with good and interesting movies on the schedule, hosting the Independent Film Festival Boston and you're allowed to bring drinks inside.
Excellent!
One thing I really have to complain about is their air condition obsession: without proper clothes you're going to freeze your ass off inside. While watching a great movie we were exposed to an ice cold wind stream coming from the right, resulting in a cold today. Thanks! Maybe we were just unlucky but the food wasn't that great - the vegan valhalla burrito was way over-salted and our homefries were probably the last ones they could scratch out of the oven.
The service was kind of slow and generally not paying much attention.
