Akakiko Reviews (9)
Lets face it: Akakiko is McDonald's in Japanese.
And as MecDonald's it is not cheap for what you get. As compared to other - good! - sushi places, you pay at least the same amount for some maki not even correctly done (the nori-sheets always are amiss at the maki's bottom).
If its your first time trying sushi, go somewhere else. If you are a sushi-veteran, go somewhere else. If you are a sushi-lover, avoid at all costs.
Akakiko is everywhere, and their food is not the worst Asian in town.
A big plus point is the excellent delivery service on wozukochen.at - very reliable and informative. I think the only place in town where you know who has prepared your meal, when it was despatched to your place, and what the mobile number of the delivery guy is.
One of Vienna´s favourite Asian Restaurants.
And of course on of Vienna´s best viewpoints. The only reason why I dont vote it with 5 stars is the size, it´s nonpersonal. And I forgot, it´s getting more expansive every year...
I have to admit, I've always had a strange feeling about the Akakiko empire here in Wien.
But that's starting to go away with every visit. The new interior is quite impressive and the food always seems to be hot and freshly-made. Veg-leaning eaters should try the Yasai-Itame if they are looking for a nice dish of crispy tofu in a mild red sauce.
The few times I've been there, the service has always been friendly and quick, which is another pleasant surprise. Also, Summertime is for sitting on the roof and looking down on the sprawling city.
