Bombay Reviews (6)
Actually a bad joke of an Indian Restaurant.
Not even the food labellings and names on the menu are right in Indian.
For an Austrian Indian would the food be alright, even though so-la-la (and, apart from the for everybody obvious classic spicy dishes, such as Vindaloo.. all down-spiced), the Mango Lassi made completely not! the Indian way, (while still fantastic, of course) but the worst bad joke is the bread. Not even a real Nan-Bread Stone oven! What would still! be alright, if they would represent another kind of Indian kitchen, and at least then do the Aloo Paratha! (pan-bread) right! But no. No, ahmir, no, no,no...
(For that one rather turn left, the same street to Vego: http://tupalo.com/spot/147-vego-vienna-austria Seriously!)
And the waiter/owner team is obviously schizophren. One time he was such a pain in the ass, I just had to give him totally overdone extra tip, just z'fleiss. The nest time they are wonerful and obliging as always before... Quite obviously probably heavily depending on the extent of the crowd..
So, this Ieaving me just wondering, why I keep going there, and going there, ever and again... :)
Price is okay.
Quality of food was okay. Interior small space.
Shoddy interiors, average food, not at all suitable for vegetarians.
Service was relatively unfriendly when we were there, but the place was packed and they were stressed.
Oh and when I reserve well in advance I expect to get a good table, not the one in the corner by the coats and next to the bathroom entrance.
you get a 5% discount on take away food if you bring your own tupperware etc, to take the food home.
A great indian restaurant.
Ranges from mild to extremely spicey, features a good range of vegetarian dishes too.
The waiters are very friendly, but do have quite an interesting sense of humor sometimes. You have been warned.
