Cafe Hawelka Reviews (7)
Not a hotspot of mine to be honest but go there with a friend for some Gösser in the evening (= no tourists any more) and you will see a lot of interesting people chatting, laughing and drinking.
Or staring down at a newspaper.
It's a great cafe but you shouldn't expect lot's of the viennese boheme sitting there , it's dominated by german tourists but if you come evenings it's just amazing the hawelka is opend till 2 am ps: tuesdays it's closed

One of the most famous cafes in Vienna, if you're stuck in the first district and need to get your hourly caffeine fix, then there's no better place than the Hawelka.
The second home to many a thinking people over the last 60 or so years, the Hawelka has a charming dark and rough atmosphere, just like their coffee.
