Very cute place. Love the sweet pastries from Aida and the great atmosphere. I'll come back.

Quickly becoming a real favorite. Love it that (one of) the owner(s) speaks french to me.

Enjoyed a great double espresso here today. It seems a cute little café, but if you go downstairs it's actually pretty big. The green-meets-pink interior, (movie)posters and the 'antique' owners give this place it's special appeal. Will definitely go back soon.

everything about this place is lovely. the couple that runs it is charming and funny, the service is great, coffee is strong and cheap and the apfelstrudel is a must on saturdays after lunch. love it!

From the outside it looks generic, on the inside it is full of charm. It also has a very cozy and stylish seating space in the basement. Their apfelstrudel is amazing.
Beware though: If the (apparently french) owner starts liking you too much, she will start to peck your cheek and pat your belly...

I don't even know where to start with Cafe Mentone. Everything about it is amazing, from the lovely husband and wife team who run the place, to their incredibly affordable menu (large espresso and an apfeltstrudel runs you less than 5 EUR!), to the charming pictures from Richard Gere hanging up in the cellar.
The service is top notch and I can certainly say this is the best place to grab a quick and affordable coffee within the 7th.
