Very cute and cosy store - nice sandwiches and soup for that Western reminisce

Really really good food! Since it's close to work I eat at elefant & castle quite regularly, and never haven been disappointed by the quality of their food. That said I think the curries could be slightly bigger, but maybe that's just me.
Now for my real favorite, their soups. For Euro 3.50 you get a pretty big bowl of delicious soup, made from fresh ingredients and tasting absolutely fantastic. I usually round this off with one of their amazing sandwiches, with "Plumbelievable" (bacon, feta and plums) and "Made in Heaven" (peanut butter and avocado) being amongst my favorites.
My only complaint is that the place is rather tiny and gets quite crowded during lunch hours, so it's a bit hard to eat in peace. Luckily they also have a delivery service, which comes by bike :-)
If you ever needed a justification for being a Bobo, elefant&castle provides it!

Second that: "Plumbelievable" is amazing.

Elefant & Castle remains excellent. Still in the same location, new owners and menu have been added in the past year, but their food and service quality have gotten even better than before!
In addition, they now offer delivery and just brought me the best vegan sandwich ever, with avocado, tomatoes, ruccola and PEANUT BUTTER! Awe-some. AWE-SOME!

Klein aber sehr fein. Culinary lunchtime delights (curries, sandwiches, soups etc) freshly prepared and served with a smile. A touch expensive maybe, but the quality is well worth the extra.

Very nice, fresh but pricy sandwiches should make for a perfect, hip 7th district lunch, if you happen to be in the area.

I think this is a new place. A crack in the wall lunch cafe open from eleven-thirty till three. The are minimal seats but the food is great! I had a veggie curry dish called Mrs. Madras with chickpeas, Japanese pumpkin and spinach. The staff are friendly and the decor is modern and comfy! Do try!

Ellie's place in Neubaugasse is one of the best options for lunch breaks in the area. Very tasty sandwiches, and the soups are great as well. Only a couple of small tables if you want to stay, but usually there's no problem to get a seat since it's more of a take-out place. Ellie does catering as well, tried this for a meeting and was more than satisfied with the service!

A diamond in the rough on Neubaugasse! Ellie is charming and welcoming to all of her guests, taking the time to get to know everyone who walks in. The interior is small, but extremely warm, making for an almost perfect environment to sit down, grab a sandwich and enjoy a nice Soy Latte on a slow afternoon.

A very funky addition to this bustling street. The atmosphere is warm, clean, arty and friendly. The food is super yummy and i am informed all made from fresh bio ingredients. It is quite small, but makes up for it by being comfortable and easilly serving the best soups around(my favorite tomato and vodka.) I love it love it love it!

a small and charming new addition to one of my favourite streets in this town. sells coffee, soups, sweets and sandwiches, has a few tables to hang out for a bit but mostly caters to the busy take-out folks. i only went in to check out the joint and get a business card but left with a delicious soy latte to go that was prepared by a friendly young lady with a charming accent. i will be back.
