Estancia Santa Cruz Reviews (9)
Great ribs and meat platters, but far from good Mexican food.
In fact, I'd say this place barely qualifies as a mexican restaurant. Still, the drinks are good, the ribs are good, the platter of appetizers is great to share, and the garden-based location is a fine place to relax in the Prater. Worth a visit.
Just don't expect Mexican food.
if you like mexican food you're definitifely gonna' love this place!
the food is extremely good! the price is really fair. the dishes are huge! and you get lots of salad to whatever you picked (I'm a veggie-fan, so to me that is a plus).
my favourite meal is the coconut-salad. but I think I've never been able to eat the whole thing, it's just such a huge portion!
Anyone expecting a high class dining experience anywhere near the Prater is in for a rough ride, but come to this place with the right expectations and it's OK.
The food is meh, but sitting outside in the Prater on a hot summer evening, sucking down alcoholic drinks that are not just beer, that's got to count for something.
Nice place to sit outside, but the staff is usually quite unfriendly (which seems to be a constant at prater restaurants).
The food is ok if you're looking for giant portions and do not care about authenticity. They do have nice give-aways though if you sign up for their newsletter, e.g. a free bottle of wine on your birthday.
The best thing about this restaurant (IMHO): dry-rub ribs with garlic!
Don't forget to put their phone number in your handy 'cause on a warm, sunny, summer day, you're going to want to call ahead for a reservation.

Berggasse 30Ok so the place itself isn't exactly nice lookin but honestly it's probably more authentically Mexican that way. Anyways, the food we had was really great; flavorful, plentiful ...
