Koh-i-noor

The Koh-i-noor has excellent quality meals and lunch specials, at very affordable prices. Vegetarian options are plentiful, vegan options not so, but the few vegan options are very fresh and tasty.

First we had to wait some 10 minutes before someone attended us. We were three, but my other friends were there only to give me company, so they did not order anything. The cutlery of these friends, as a result, was taken away from the table. Very rude in my opinion!
The food was ok. The worst part was the bill. Would you believe that they charged 1.50 euros for the appetizer, which, of course, was not mentioned in the meu? I have been to some 20 Indian restaurants, but was never charged for the appetizers (Papadam in this case). That was shocking! Very expansive and not much to choose from the Menu. A bad experience to say the least.

no 15 stars! i've had yet to experience an indian spot that i could stomach here. I was craving a curry last night, and ended up here blindly because of this review. anywhere that is as good as in England can't be missed, no? This has them all beat! I had the most amazing veggie Thali - you get naan, raita, rice, poppadom, 3 veggie dishes (one was the palak paneer, the other 2 i'm not sure)...Pretty good deal over all. I didn't leave there w/o spending 25 euros true, but i also had 2 glasses of wine and a nachspeise. Great ambience, candlelit, charming service. An A-Plus times a million.

The food is about the same standard as the Curry places I've been to in England, so this means good! It's not authentic Indian food, but British Indian is the better Indian anyway :)
