Löwenhof Reviews (2)
I was in this restaurant in May 2006.
Though I could speak a very limited amount of German the people there were very nice to me. I only had a coffee and a bowl of Gulash (which was very good), but overall my short visit was very pleasant.
I'd say this is a small, friendly restaurant that caters to the local neighborhood, a nice place that few tourists will ever find. I would definitely go back to this restaurant.
The Franz Josef Bahnhof right up the street, however, is repulsively ugly.

I am generally quite a happy and contented person but something about this sort of pine-clad frilly-curtained gemütlichkeit makes we want to stab myself with a broken spritzer glass.
If you can get over the feeling that you are somehow eating your meal trapped inside a lavender-scented grandmother, the food is actually pretty good.
