Small, friendly, no frills jazz pub in a great neighborhood. Nice little shanigarten in the front in the summer.
I have been in this pub numerous times in 1986, 1990, 2006, 2008 and 2011 (for some reason it was closed when I was in Wien in 1999).
In 2011 the person on vacation with me went home sick, leaving me alone on my vacation. Then, I went out and had a terrible time at a local restaurant. I wandered into Miles Smiles and, though the people there really did not know me, they obviously senses I was having a really bad day. Without hesitation the pub employee greeted me with a warm smile and conversed with me in English. Seeing I was all alone and sitting in the warm pub on a summer's night, the pub employee invited me to sit with his friends in the shanigarten. Those people also greeted me with a warm smile and spoke to me as if I was a long-time regular at their little pub. They made me feel right at home.
I again wish to thank those nice people at Miles Smiles for cheering me up on a really bad day, and making me feel as if I were a cherished, regular customer. I will be forever thankful for their extreme kindness.

Nice little pub. A bit too much smoke for me but nice atmosphere.
