We went in for coffee, hot chocolate and a piece of cake. The cake was good, but not really worth 8,20€. It said "owen warm", but it had barely been in the microwave. The cakes in the "cake cabinet" are much bigger too.

The terrace is a good place to enjoy a beer on a warm sunny day, but this place gets pretty busy during weekends, we even had a hard time finding a table inside.

But this seems to be a very popular place and the salads and scnitzels looked good.

Having been there again for a late breakfast / lunch on the 2nd (?) sunny sunday in vienna in '11 - great overall experience - so summer season may start ....

Just for the terrace, which is a dream on warm, sunny days.

Great place right next to the Burggarten. The Palmenhaus is a Orangery converted into a big cafe-restaurant-club. If you come from the Kunsthistorisches Museum and Hofburg, this is the perfect spot to relax and take in the amazing vienna flair

the location is really worth a visit - that's beyond question. even the food is ok and they offer nice breakfast. but: arriving there two minutes to ten, when they open, and being told breakfast could last some time or even can't be ordered cause their baker is kind of undependable - that's not very professional - especially in consideration of the fact that the prices are above average.

The actual address is Burggarten - it is the big glass-roofed building inside the Burggarten. But this site can't handle that address (yet? :P)

Well-known place. Central location. Cool architecture. Nice in summer and winter. Hard to get a seat outside in summer. Good for coffee, drinks, food. Food is nice but slightly too expensive for what it is. But it remains almost always a good place to go.
