Been there
Point of Sale Reviews (13)
Been there for the first time today and had my first breakfast (Dot.
Com) there, which was yummy and just enough to not let me leave hungry. The prices are quite decent and the chai a bit too milky but delicious nonetheless. Will definitely return and taste my way through the different breakfasts they offer (and they _do_ offer a nice and wide variety). Comfy place, interesting people, nice waiters, who are willing to add the desired cookie to the craving coffee consumer.
had a small dhaal soup with bread, the coconut touch made it real good..
will stop there again soon for breakfast (zen breakfast probably) since it's near the TU ;-) staff was nice too
We usually go there for breakfast (baked beans!
) which you can get until 5 in the afternoon. Waiters are usually friendly. Sitting outside can get noisy during the summer months. POS is more your traditional diner/cafe than a bar so it's usually most crowded on weekends and during lunchtime, not so much in the evenings though.
Recently we had breakfast there, because I like the area, I like the spot and I used to like POS.
But the waiter couldn't have cared less about us, the breakfast was really bad tasting and in bad shape.
Probably this was due to the fact that it was Saturday and they were prepared for a breakfast rush (in the afternoon, it was 3pm) and had all the ham and cheese laying around in the kitchen for hours.
I love breakfast, but next time I'll go to Breakfast Club right next to POS.
Still the center of Schleifmühlgasse, at least for me.
Best coffee in the area, pretty decent food, great breakfast selection. Only thing is that the lounge area turns into a Kindergarden on some afternoons but I'm not complaining :)
nice place in the "freihausviertel" the only vegan breakfast i know so far.
also amazing: the vegetarian curry!
and: vegan creme brulee.
nice to chill there.
unfortuantly the most confortable area
is a nonsmoker-area.
Great place with quite a big choice of different breakfasts, ranging from traditional to oriental to Mexican.
Bit crowded at times - especially if you're headed there for a "after Naschmarkt" coffee on weekends. Be ready to wait till you can finally conquer a table.
In short: good food/music/setting
Probably my favorite cafe in all of Vienna.
Their coffee is great, food is nice (although choice is limited), staff can be nice (that's saying something for Vienna), the ambience is cool. I really like their breakfasts - till 5PM I think, on weekends.
