Romano De Rocco Reviews (3)
Great little ice cream shop on a nice little "platz.
"
My daughter had chocolate and strawberry. The chocolate tasted like icy cool, cream chocolates. THe strawberry was great.
I had apricot and pear. The apricot tasted like less-sweet Staud's marille jam, but frozen and served on pillowy cream. The pear tasted like a totally ripe pear served in a river of freezing cold cream.
So far, this is the best ice cream I have found in Vienna -- by far!
My favorite ice cream in Vienna.
Italian owners, open since 1964, ice cream made from fresh fruit from the market across the street.
It's been a season or two since I've been there, but I'd recommend the melon (cantaloupe) and After Eight flavors.
And get your cone with molten chocolate on top (even though I just remembered that option was officially called "Negertüte" when I was a child...)
