Food wise, it is reasonable - I had some fried chicken and a side of sushi. Overall it was convenient, quick and a tasty hit of Asian but I don't think it matches to top notch Japanese food.

Soya is tucked away in a little corridor off Mariahilferstrasse. The signs outside though are unmistakeable and advertise a range of sushi and Japanese dishes. Service was pretty good, but I found the food, whilst enjoyable, not terribly authentic or super. Still, it was OK. The outside garden place was nice and I wouldn't hesitate to return for the atmosphere/speed of service.

Cheap, which is undoubtedly why it's always so full at peak times, but very disorganised and less than optimal quality food. Disappointing.

They got decent food for decent prices but sometimes simply forget that you are here, requiring some prodding to reinforce an order you made 30 minutes before.

Good Japanese food for very fair prices, Soya never disappointed me over the years.

affordable and fresh dishes, i am especially fond of their avocado maki and agedashi tofu.
perfect take out place because, eventhough they are always full around lunch time, they never take longer than 10-15 minutes for your order.

Pretty good Japanese fare at extremely good prices right on Mariahilferstrasse in the heart of Wien. 50% sushi and maki makes for a cheap date, 12 piece avacado maki around the 4 EUR mark makes for a nice and cheap lunch. Ingredients were fresh, surprising considering it was all 50% off

If you're in a party larger than 4, it's best you call ahead and reserve, as even though Soya has inside seating, a large passage garden and seating right on the sidewalk of Mariahilferstrasse, it's constantly packed! A short waiting time should be expected for both a table AND for your food to arrive.

Also, FORTUNE COOKIES! Soya gives out dairy and egg-free fortune cookies after every meal, with English and German fortunes. Awesome!

Cheap sushi! For example: 6,10 € for a big sushi set with 3 maki and 10 (maybe only 9) sushi.

In summer you can sit outside in the "garden". In winter you have to move together! ;-)

There are only a handful of tables and seats.
