Good, solid vegetarian cooking. A bit oily sometimes but the buffet is reasonable value if you can chow down a lot!

Always friendly waiters/waitresses, prices (esp. buffet) are more than OK.
A lot of the buffet food is deep friend and also the noodles seem to have a lot of oil on them, but maybe that's why everything tastes so good ;)Was this review...? -

I had the Asian (mostly Chinese) buffet and liked it. There sure was a lot of deep fried stuff but also several types of vegetables and some tofu. For a vegetarian it was great to have so many dishes to choose from.

Had some very good experiences in the past, but my two most recent visits make me think the quality's going slowly south. It's always had a lot of fried/oily dishes, but the cooks need to hold back on the grease factor.

Looks like shit, tastes OK. Lots of unhealthy fried stuff, quality mas o menos, cheap though.
Since I've heard so much about it I thought it's much better.

Great vegetarian & vegan food! I am not a vegan, but I love the "Ribbchen"!

I haven't been there since it changed from being Vegetasia to Xu's Cooking,
but the menu still seems to be the same - although slightly more expensive if memory serves - which is a good thing, since it always was one of my favorite veggie options in town.

Nice vegetarian restaurant with an all-you-can-eat buffet or business lunch offers. The dishes are tasty, the waiters friendly (sometimes a bit too concerned about the customer's well-being) and it's always nice to bump into friends there.

The best vegetarian lunch buffet in vienna. You can choose from around 15 - 20 different warm and cold dishes, 2 soups, salat and they also have a variety of deserts (fried banannas yummie). The buffet is "all you can eat" and very cheap! Never ate "a la carte" in there :) Great eating - experience for everyone visiting vienna.

have you ever had vegetarian meat? well, at vegetasia you can be sure to get everything but meat, even if it's called "chicken" or "fish". I find that idea quite funny. the food is - okay. I never really loved it but the lunch-buffet is quite cool. fried bananas - as many as you want! yummy!

vegetasia will always have a special place in my heart, years ago it introduced me to mock meat, to vegetarian/vegan taiwanese cookery.
the all you can eat buffet is great if you wanna stuff yourself silly, and eventhough prices have been going way up over the years i still think it's affordable. just don't look at the schilling-prices, you will feel slightly nauseous.
service has gotten strange over the years, too. the permanent asking if you want big drinks, the reluctance to give you tab water and the vulturelike swooping in to ask if you want another drink are really annoying.
the "it was good, yeah?" at the end of your meal is just bizzare.
but vegetasia is great solid food, a place where you always meet somebody you know, a touring band, a friendly face.
the 3rd district vegetsia is more stylish but the ugly 7th district sister is definitely more charming.
see you there. Was this review...? -

even if you're not a vegetarian/vegan it's a good place to go. they just have great food. better than most "normal" chinese restaurants.

The food is great no doubt about that but I also love running into people I haven't seen for ages at this place.

A vegan or vegetarian's dream come true. All you can eat lunch buffet with over 10 dishes, plus soups, desert, sushi and rice. The majority of the buffet is vegan (just ask if you aren't sure what is or isn't). If an all you can eat buffet isn't your thing, they also have a super affordable lunch menu including many mock-meat dishes with tea and desert included.
Their dinner menu is also a treat. 50+ items, lots of mock-meat items (their fried chicken is incredible!). Great 'date spot' for young veggies or traveling veggies who want to get a taste of great Taiwanese vegetarian cooking.
The 1070 location is a bit more aged and darker atmosphere. This is where you'll want to bring your parents or date when you want a nice quiet evening out with some great veggie food.
