Hi all, we’re a little late here, but, if you have any feature requests or wishes, by all means let us know! There are a lot of work going into Tupalo behind the scenes, which we’ll unveil in the coming months.

Thanks in advance and we look forward to hearing your ideas!

if i want to switch between my cities it’s a bit complicated to change to the places page. a custom menu of favorite places would be great.

I know its all about international and so, but is there a Tupalo in German planned ?

You created a very nice system (which makes me proud Austrians did this) but please have in mind many Austrians will prefer German (compare the Facebook/studiVZ advantage). If you need help (and/or already have a procedure to translate) feel free to contact me.

Is there also a “preferred” language for the reviews ?

Best Regards,
Eol

Hi Eol,
thanks for the comments! We’re actually an Austrian AND American team ;) But nonetheless we are an Austrian company currently calling the 16th district Wien our home.

We do have a German-language version in development! This will also include the ability for a user to set their preferred language, where the reviews will be sorted depending on your pref language.

There will be more news on this in the coming weeks ;)

Thanks again!

Nice to hear. I would write reviews in GERMAN & ENGLISH if needed but unfortunately most platforms support only one language at a time.

It would definitely be nice if one could review in both languages.

Another question – is there a possibility to add photos ?
I took some shots to spice up my reviews but could not find a way to attach a photo to it. Maybe I am just blind …

Great platform,
Eol

HI Eol (and all). Sorry for the delay gettting back.

Photos are tied to locations for the moment, through integration with Flickr. When viewing a spot, to the right you can see a text box with a Flickr machine tag in it. Simply upload the photo to Flickr, tag it using that tag, and a little while later we’ll add it to the spot.

Uploading photos, especially for adding them to reviews is something we’ve thought about, which we think is a great idea! We’ll add that to our list of features which we’ll develop towards.

Thanks and by all means, keep the feedback coming.

Hi Mike,

How about a wordpress plugin, or a typo3 extension to make integration into other homepages easy. Might be intresting for locations to have their tupalo reviews on their page, or for users to display where they’ve been on theirs…

Just a thought… ;)

Cheers, Cliff.

Hey Cliff,
definitely a great idea. We have a Wordpress plugin on our list of features and want to definitely make it easier for bloggers to begin embedding Tupalo spots into their posts and pages.

We haven’t looked into a typo3 extension yet, but will add that to the list, along with a MySpace Flash-based widget / badge.

Thanks for the feedback!

Hi!
I use Tupalo a lot though there is one feature that I am missing (maybe it’s possible but I did not find it) – I would like to search for a specific street in a city and get all locations listed for this street – is it possible? Just something that I think would be really good…
Cheers Beatrice
