He was brought here by his pal, Heinrich Hoffmann, the photapgrapher, whose office was 1/2 block away to the east (that building was ruined in the war). Hoffmann's employe was none other than Eva Braun, who soon became Hitler's girlfriend. The Schelling Salon might not be a great place, but no matter how many times I visit Munich I always find myself wandering back into it. Moral judgements aside, it is always interesting, at least for me, to sit, eat, drink, or simply experience any establishment where any famous (or infamous) person used to once frequent. Regardless of its historical past, this is a very nice restaurant with very good food. Perhaps not the best, but this is a nice place that is definitely worth a visit.
