It's a 1950's style diner adorned with collectibles from all 50 states like plates, spoons, snowglobes, etc. I had the cornbeef hash and it's probably the best I've had in Portland. The service is great, the setting is very comfortable, and the service is quite prompt. They serve "European peasant food" at a reasonable price and it's prepared with incomparable skill. Their hamburger sandwich is amazingly tender and literally melts in your mouth (I never fully appreciated that phrase until I had this burger). The bar menu is "small" but they save the best for last with it. They open at noon, the kitchen is open until midnight, and they shut the doors around 1-1:30am.
