Excellent Sri Lankan curry house. Reservation needed at weekends. The best thing to do is to buy 4-5 of the little curries, dahls etc. and combine with an assortment of sides like the hoppers and thosai. For chilli-addicts, a couple of the chutneys are pretty hot and a little bowl of the sambal will add heat to anything.
Quality seems to have declined a little in the last year but still great.
I agree with pretty much everything - especially with the comment that it really deserves more than 3 stars (in my very humble opinion).
The non-smoking back room actually felt like it even though people were smoking in the front room.
Great indian/sri lankan food. People have been telling me you need to reserve ahead of time to get a table, but I've always managed to squeeze in without a reservation when I've been there.
sorry guys, but this is defintitely more than a 3 star...
I've only been here twice, but the food was great, and the ambiance and service were good too. It feels quite unlike other restaurants in Vienna.
For years I thought it was a Wurstlstand somehow (Currywurst... Verkehrsinsel... Curry Insel...)

Great curryhouse featuring specialties from Sri Lanka. One of the few spots in Vienna to grab a curry with some real kick to it. In fact, one of the choices for spiciness on their menu is simply a picture of an ambulance, so I think you can guess they mean business when it comes to . Lots of vegetarian and vegan options too.
