The Lion Rampant

Now the most authentic pub in Vienna. The Lion Rampant does it all perfectly - excellent selection of beers, many of which cannot be found anywhere else in town. As a Scottish pub there are, needless to say, many whiskies on offer. Food is a step above other pubs in the city.

The Lion Rampant is so new that it does not seem to have a webpage yet. So much for that.

The food is superbe, the chicken and leek pie small but delicious. I have not tried their deep fried Mars bar myself, but the fact that the have it on the menu speaks for itself.

Other very positive things to mention so far are the lovely staff and the (in a way very) authentic pub interior (when I stepped inside for the first time I felt like I'd just been teleported to England).

They say they have an open mic night on Sundays.
They're also working on their live music line-up.
