The place not only looks nice, the waiter staff is quite ok and friendly, the non-smoking area is definitely smoke-free and far from the smoking area, the pasta was incredibly good and the pizza I took a bite from was also quite good. All in all, a good experience.
Had a going-away-party this evening at this restaurant. I did not have a pizza, but chose a tomato salad with fresh basil and a spaghetti with garlic, peppers and parsley. The spaghetti was nice, the salad fresh. To me though, I Terroni and I Caruso are still the best Italian restaurants in Vienna. Apart from the food being really, really tasty (both pizza's and pasta's), I like the style of the restaurants plus the service better.
Together with Sasso D'Oro this is probably the best Pizza place outside of the first district. Huge, wonderful outside seating area, perfect Pizzas, and everything else certainly looks divine.
Great pizzas in a wonderful atmosphere (if you can get an outside table). For me, it's my second or third favorite spot for pizza. They get excellent marks for the quality of the crust, the balance in the sauce and the freshness and quality of the toppings. However, I find the lack of even one or two more "interesting" pizzas a hindrance to giving them the coveted fifth star.
I am not asking for California Pizza Kitchen type "gourmet" pizzas, but how about a nice pie with aged pecorino Toscano? Every place has the corn and ham, so why do you?
I got food poisoning here once (I guess the arugula wasn't well-washed), but I return!
Great pizza place. Obviously actual Italian waiters, which is sometimes good, sometimes bad, but definitely authentic. Been there a couple of times as it's close to my office.
Nice outside sitting next to Maria True. Pizzas are great and even the Pasta is good, which is often only average at many Pizza places IMO. The espresso is great, too.

i didn't expect much when i was invited to a nice dinner at this place but, boy, was i in for a surprise: this restaurant is amazing.
make sure to reserve ahead and when the weather allows it, definitely sit outside, across the street, by the church.
lots of real italians dine there which is always a good sign.
i had a pizza marinara with rucula. the dough was thin but not too thin, got crispy and not hard when it started to cool off, the sauce was delicious, and the rucula/arugula was fresh.
prices are affordable, definitely not cheap, though. what a great ristorante!
even the Ciao! the (not our) waiter yelled after us seemed sincere!
Hold up now, tap the breaks. The pizza game in Wien has changed for me completely. Il Sestante is without a doubt, the best pizza and pasta I've had in Wien in my 8 years of calling this wonderful city my home.
The dough was perfect, soft with a little crunch, plenty of sauce and all of the topings tasted as if they were freshly picked prior to making my pizza. The pasta was outstanding and the garlic / rosemary pizza bread was off the hook.
Their giant outside seating area, across the street, in a church square was a perfect setting for an evening out and the area was filled with Italians enjoying their pizza, wine and coffee, which scored a 10 on my ambiance scale.
Highly recommended you call and make a reservation beforehand, as all of their tables were spoken for and were immediately filled when a party left.
An excellent Italian restaurant, with some of the best pizza I've had in Vienna. Not at all overpriced, they also have a lovely courtyard outside, under some trees, which if the weather is nice, is a great place to eat. Highly recommended!
