Mayan Theater

It's a theatre, that features independent movies and also features a bar. Can't beat that. I had sworn off movie theatres all together and stuck to my netflix until being introduced to the Landmark Theatres (includes Chez Artiste and the Esquire). People are there because they really want to see the flick, so there are never any obnoxious 7th graders waiting to ruin your night. The last movie I saw there was Pans Labrynth, which I also highly recommend.

Rather legendary, the Mayan is a great place for indie films and limited releases. They occaisionally will have some mainstream offers, but why not broaden your horizons? In addition to great movies, there is a full bar located on the premises, saving you the trouble of going to two locations for your "brew and view."
