Echo

echo is a cute thai restaurant at a very nice spot in the first district. in summer you can sit outside and enjoy the beauty of the city, there's the church "maria am gestade" right next to it. even though it's right in the city, you probably won't meet tourists and it's very quiet there, kind of hidden. I'm in love with that area of vienna.

only bad thing - it's expensive. you get good food for your money, so well … I would recommend it, just because it's so nice there. I had fish and curry - which was hot! I think this restaurant is specialised on very hot dishes. there's some kind of rating-system on the menue, that warns you which meals are very hot or just a little hot - there's one dish that's supposed to be SUPERSUPER hot, but I was afraid of taking it. my choice was one of the medium-hot things and still ist was very, very spicey. I turned all red I think ;)
