Tholl Thai

One of the best and most authentic Thai restaurants in Vienna. Tholl is a tiny, spotlessly clean restaurant run by a friendly and enthusiastic Austrian. Only about 6 tables so booking advised, although it does not seem that well-known. For once in Austria the spicy stuff is really spicy - these are marked in the menu with 3 chillies for the safety of the Warmduschers. Recommend the spicy beef curry made with really tender bits of boiled beef, and the chicken satay starters.

Thai places are rare in Vienna and we found this tiny restaurant by chance, on the way to another restaurant. The food seems to be authentic, at least people said it's similar to NYC Thai-food, and for Viennese standards burning hot. Chose a 3 chili peppers indicated dish from the menu and you'll set your stomach out of order for the rest of the night.
Pad Thai is highly recommended!
