I led a restaurant club for approx. 1.5 years in Vienna and during that time, Yellow was the only restaurant in the city that would cut me a deal when I brought a big group. Hats off to them for that.
I dig their architecture but I find their food a bit too pricey. Favorite item: Miang Kum Blaetter. They're really fantastic. Otherwise, the food is ok as far as what I've had of Pan-Asian in Vienna.
Durchgestyled pan-Asian :P
I held a birthday dinner here once, in a back room where everyone sits on the floor (which is cushioned, and you leave your shoes outside). I had a good time (it was my birthday after all), but the restaurant was just OK.
Food was quite ok, though the vegetarian and vegan options weren't plentiful. The ingredients were all fresh and tasty and the waiting staff were attentive and often around. I can't speak for the bar, but the restaurant was quite ok.
Yellow is WAY too over-priced and snooty. I had a coke, my friend had a gin/tonic and the cost was like EUR 12. Their restaurant may be more acceptable - I haven't yet sampled its delicacies. Yellow (bar) has a cold, dark, uncomfortable feel, so if you're looking for an expensive snob option, visit Lutz Bar/Cafe.
