DIe Spareribs sind im Luftschloss 50 Meter weiter besser, das Essen hat nicht wirklich etwas mit Mexiko zu tun, dafür gibt es in Wien bessere Plätze.

Auch ist der "Schmäh" nur Spanisch zu sprechen ist alt und langweilig, abgesehen davon das ein ganzer Tisch zur gleichen Zeit bestellt und die eine Hälfte das Essen rund 25 Minuten früher bekommt (bei gleicher Bestellung).

Den Vogel abgeschossen hat aber die Tatsache das nachdem bestellt wurde und die Getränke geliefert wurden uns der Kellner darauf aufmerksam machte das ab 13 Personen es Hausregel ist das es nur noch eine gemeinsame Rechnung gibt.
Das ist, milde gesagt, eine Frechheit.

Great ribs and meat platters, but far from good Mexican food. In fact, I'd say this place barely qualifies as a mexican restaurant. Still, the drinks are good, the ribs are good, the platter of appetizers is great to share,and the garden-based location is a fine place to relax in the Prater. Worth a visit.

Just don't expect Mexican food.

if you like mexican food you're definitifely gonna' love this place! the food is extremely good! the price is really fair. the dishes are huge! and you get lots of salad to whatever you picked (I'm a veggie-fan, so to me that is a plus).
my favourite meal is the coconut-salad. but I think I've never been able to eat the whole thing, it's just such a huge portion!

imho great food and great atmosphere - especially on chilling summer evenenings in the big garden. also very nice waiters and usually you don't have to wait for a long time for your food...

Best Spare-Ribs in Town. A nice place to be in summer.

Anyone expecting a high class dining experience anywhere near the Prater is in for a rough ride, but come to this place with the right expectations and it's OK. The food is meh, but sitting outside in the Prater on a hot summer evening, sucking down alcoholic drinks that are not just beer, that's got to count for something.

Nice place to sit outside, but the staff is usually quite unfriendly (which seems to be a constant at prater restaurants). The food is ok if you're looking for giant portions and do not care about authenticity. They do have nice give-aways though if you sign up for their newsletter, e.g. a free bottle of wine on your birthday.

The best thing about this restaurant (IMHO): dry-rub ribs with garlic! Don't forget to put their phone number in your handy 'cause on a warm, sunny, summer day, you're going to want to call ahead for a reservation.

Tex-Mex Riesenlokal im Prater (anscheinend nun ganzjährig geöffnet).
Vor ein paar Jahren, als der Sommer noch länger und das Leben irgendwie einfacher war, war ich hier rel. oft anzutreffen.
Da war auch das Essen hier irgendwie besser. Jetzt ist es ganz ok, wenn man Tacos und Konsorten in Riesenportionen mag.
Sehr grosser und immer voller Gastgarten.
Ohne Reservierung geht hier gar nichts. Wenn man Glück hast, kriegt man drinnen einen Tisch im vorderen Bereich, denn der ist viel netter als der hintere. Aber wann hat man schon Glück? ;)
