There is a fine line between enjoyable and affordable Asian cuisine in Vienna. Neon is in the affordable category, and a lot more enjoyable than the bean sprout laden dishes I'm used to. I was there with some friends on the earlier side of a Friday evening. I started with a spicy tuna roll, and it far exceeded my expectations. I love spicy tuna rolls, but have a difficult time finding them here. My crispy noodle dish was a bit of a let down, but the peppered beef was right on. They also had a cocktail happy hour until 9pm, which the waiter extended without hesitation. They have quite an extensive list of long drinks and daiquiris. The restaurant is a cool space with exposed brick and vaulted ceilings, and they have an open air kitchen which is always a nice touch. The neon decor is a little overstated, but I'm willing to look past that. I will definitely go back especially for the sushi.
