Cafe Europa is a classic.

You can get very decent food until 4 AM which is unfortunately still pretty rare in this city.

The cocktails are pretty good - you won't have to break out in tears when you taste their Mojito.

While I definitely wouldn't go there for the coffee alone, you can drink it though and be OK satisfied.

The staff varies but mostly they've been pretty cool and amicable.

Cafe Europa is regularly overcrowded before 1 AM.

You can get vegan food there but there's not a lot of choice - salad or the seitan sandwich with mustard instead of the curry sauce. But at four in the morning that's more than often the thing that just hits the spot.

Very nice, very authentic. That's why you probably shouldn't go there if you're vegetarian or vegan - even the avocado maki had shrimps in them.

Closed Donau Bar
Karl-Schweighofer-Gasse 10
1070 Vienna

I like this spot a lot. This bar looks like no other place I know as if stage designers from Blade Runner left it there, but wherever you look for the back of the stage, it can't be found - it's all front.

The Donau Bar hasn't changed since my first visit about 15 years ago. I guess this is one of the places that can't be changed but only destroyed.

It's hip, but as it seems not in a overrun Bobo-way as the whole see-and-be-seen game doesn't really work in that lighting situation.

Drinks and prices are ok, but mostly not awesome.

Great pizza place. Obviously actual Italian waiters, which is sometimes good, sometimes bad, but definitely authentic. Been there a couple of times as it's close to my office.

Nice outside sitting next to Maria True. Pizzas are great and even the Pasta is good, which is often only average at many Pizza places IMO. The espresso is great, too.

Multi-Asian sushi mini-chain with a somewhat strong interior design aspect (is related to funnily lit NEON). Food was pretty average - spring rolls were cold, wok vegetables were Ok, but nothing special. Prices for lunch menu were fair (and are available until as long as 1700).

Only been there once and was a bit disappointed. Nice people, but the food was a bit bland and nothing special. Only open for lunch. Fair prices.

Dead cheap, pretty good and I love the soup that's part of the menu.
