This place totally caught me by surprise. I quickly fell in love with the interior, and the food was quite excellent too. I had the Erdäpfelsuppe which was delicious, and the Schnitzel which was as perfect as I could imagine it.
The owner seems to be one of the more original ladies in Vienna. I found her quite charming.
The burger was quite delicious, but the rest of the experience was a bit disappointing.
No fries? That's kind of an important part of the burger experience for me...
But it's a new place, they'll probably need a bit more time to iron out the kinks.
The most innovative menu, the most relaxing atmosphere. The very best rolls/bread. Everything I ever ate there was delicious. Be sure to call for reservation, it's a tiny place and usually full.
This place has a certain congeniality to it, something that is hard to find. An interesting selection of food and drinks, and a corner with old games. Fancy a round of "Schwarzer Peter" or "Vier Gewinnt" late at night?
Also featuring retro (i.e. old) decor!
Trashy, old-school Viennese "Beisl". Very traditional, excellent food, unbeatable prices. Best to come in the summer, and sit outside (trust me, it's better to avoid the inside :). Expect having to sit on one table with other people (it's often crowded, especially for lunch).
