Nice place with good (amongst others they have their own brewed) bear and decent food.

a nice greek restaurant with good food and although located in the first district not too high prices.

ok: so we got there, ordered drinks. a friend of mine orders calpico. another waitress brings the drinks, realizes the friend of mine is chinese, takes away the calpico, asks if someone else wants that calpico and since noone else ordered calpico she took it away and came back with the "real" calpico especially for chinese. WTF?!?! what is in the regular calpico for poor non chinese bastards? poison or what?. frechheit! i will never go there again (unless i'm forced to)!

the food was nice, though.

Classic location. Great View, good coffee, lots of cakes.

Closes when it's dark ( the way down to the street can be dangerous, i guess), which is 5pm during winter.

i gave it a second try, and this time it was definitely better. i didn't have the zwiebelrostbraten, though.
I had the "Faschierter Braten mit Kartoffelpüree" ( minced roast with mashed potatoes) and it was quite good ( and it was only €4.20). Mashed potatoes were delicious. But the souce was wery oily again.

The waiter in the end was quite tipsy, which was funny to watch although it was a little hard talking to him, cause he would not understand at the first try.

Anyway, it's a typical old fashioned viennese beisl with a little oily, but good food ( obviously the Zwiebelrostbraten i had last time was a one-off ).

Small cocktailbar in the "stadtbahnbögen" ( it takes only one "slot" there).

I usually evaluate a cocktail bar on the quality of the bloody mary. And they have a good one.

my favorite italian in vienna. the pizzas really taste like in a good italian restaurant in the toscana.

this might be because the place is actually run by italians and not by egypts, turks or chinese...

the only downsides are that they:
a) don't deliver.
b) have only a small non smoking area.

but still... wonderful.

i was there once, since a friends surprise birthday party was held there.

if you make it past the bouncers, you will find out that they charge €4.50 for the smallest bear available!

HEY, why don't you just steal my wallet.... would make it way easier for you and at least it would be more honest. and on top of it i would not feel guilty when i refuse to give tip.

Ich war zwei Mal dort und jedes Mal war es halb voll aber ganz verraucht. Ich hatte fast den Eindruck dass jeder Raucher der vorbeigeht mal kurz zum Ausatmen reinschaut...

Die übliche Mischung aus importiertem Bier komplettiert also das Bild dass ich mir von einem Irish Pub ( in Wien ) erwarte.

Essen würde ich in diesem Rahmen nicht erwarten, da würd ich mich eher ins Shebeen's (http://www.tupalo.com/spot/274) begeben.
