Spanish bar/restaurant, where you need to reserve a table at least a couple of days in advance. Authentic spanish tapas, all very tasty.

El Gusto is a Spanish Tapas restaurant in the first district. The restaurant is not big so it is advisable to make a table reservation. In summer, they have a couple of tables outside.

The food is expensive considering the small portions you get, but the taste is authentic and the quality very good. The sangria is awesome, but yes, you will wake up with a headache the next morning :)

After many months of passing by this restaurant on my way home from work, today I finally had the opportunity to have lunch here with my friend. The place looks trendy, a bit nihilistic style and is always filled with people.

For each day the restaurant has a fixed Mittagsmenu. For the evening they have a menukarte with different choices.
We had a melanzani/zucchini lasagne on a salad and a desert which was some sort of chocolate and biscuit 'roulade'.
The lasange existed of 2 small pieces and was almost cold. Their was a long black hair on the plate of my friend. The taste of the lasagne was nice though (therefore the 1 star rating). The desert was a small slice of cake. It tasted dryish and uninteresting.

We payed 14 euro for this, including a mineral water and a limonade. We decided to never go here again and later had a wonderful tiramisu (for we were still hungry ofcourse) at I Terroni :)

Been coming to this Chinese restaurant since I was a little child. It is the best Chinese I have ever been: the taste is authentic and nothing like the standard Chinese food every one knows.
Downside: they serve you very fast and seem to want you out of there asap so they can have new costumers. So if you want a nice, long, romantic dinner, don't go to Fat Kee. If you want great Chinese food, it's the place to be.

If you like very, very hot sambal, order some backed sambal to go with your food!
They have take away, but it is not recommended: for some reason it never tastes as good as when you eat in the restaurant.

Had lunch there a few days ago. Place looks nice, they have a garden, friendly waiters and boy, are they fast with bringing you the food!

Lots of traditional food on the menu, including Knoedel, Knoedel and Knoedel with almost everything :) My friend had the spareribs which were great (I had a little taste). I had a Schnitzel (pork) which was huge and quite nice. Prices are a bit high, but you get a lot of food for your money.

Two weeks ago Herr und Frau Klein moved to the other side of the street, where the video store used to be. They now have a big shop with more space for all their great products. Not having kids myself, I almost feel tempted to have one so that I can buy lots of the cool, unconvential children's clothes, toys and kid's furniture they have.
The people working in the shop are very friendly, offer practical tips and professional advice, and give the customer the opportunity to have a good, undisturbed look around. The little kids can run around a play with some of the toys, and the parents can even chance their dypers.
This shop is perfect for anyone who does not want the usual kid's stuff, is in need of good advice and is willing to pay a bit extra for high quality/fair trade products.

Had the daily lunch menu today, which was quite tasty. You get a small miso soup as a starter, which was the best miso soup I have had so far. As a main dish, you can choose between two possibilities. I had the Thai Wok with rice, which was good as well. You can add the spiceyness yourself.
Nice atmosphere with cool Asian comic drawings on the wall, friendly waitresses and fair prices (less than 7 euro for the daily lunch menu). Am looking forward to trying out their maki and sushi.

This Italian restaurant in the 7th district of Vienna is one of my favorite restaurants. The place has a nice atmosphere, is always filled with people and is suitable for a private, romantic dinner for two and for bigger groups as well. The waiters are friendly and one does not need to wait long to get served.

The restaurant has a fixed menu and a menu that changes once per month (I think).
So far I have tried out some pasta dishes and the pizzas. Every time it tasted wonderful. The pizzas have balanced, original toppings, like the pizza San Daniele for instance, with the San Daniele ham, Grana cheese and fresh rucola. For the vegitarian foodlovers I can recommend the pizza Spinaci, but there are also some other vegitarian possibilities.
The tiramisu is also very tasty.

The prices are good for the quality you get: an average pizza costs around 8-9 euro. If you are used to very big and thick pizzas, you might be disappointed though.

For those of us who want to eat their tasty pizzas at home: they do take-out. Huray!

Had a going-away-party this evening at this restaurant. I did not have a pizza, but chose a tomato salad with fresh basil and a spaghetti with garlic, peppers and parsley. The spaghetti was nice, the salad fresh. To me though, I Terroni and I Caruso are still the best Italian restaurants in Vienna. Apart from the food being really, really tasty (both pizza's and pasta's), I like the style of the restaurants plus the service better.

Was here about one week ago. Had a lovely evening on the terras with good food, a wine from Santorini (something I have not seen on the wine menu of Greek restaurants so far) and friendly waiters.

Only downside was the Calvados: expensive one-sip drink, unless you are an ant :)
