Segafredo Espresso is located right in the bridge crossing Gasometer D to the Gasometer Entertainment Center, commonly referred to as Gasometer E, whereas this Center is not a Gasometer whatsoever. Segafredo is a faceless chain. It does not mean anything to me. It tries to stand for Italien coffee at high quality, but it fails. Why do I actually like this place, even though they play boring mainstream music and feature Fashion TV displayed at common 16:9 screens mounted in the common horizontal way fucking up the aspect ratio entirely? It's really easy after all: The beer. And we are talking about standard Budweiser here. Whilst Budweiser ist one of the best (_best_) beers available in Austria, even despite great local brews such as Wieselburger Gold, Kapsreither and certainly Gösser, the Budweiser tastes _fucking_ _really_ _and I mean it_ _PERFECT_ at this very place. It comes at the very right temperature. Very right indeed. I had lots of 'em in a lot of places worldwide. Even in Budwar. At the Budweiser's brewery. However, nothing, and I repeat: NOTHING, matched the taste as experienced right here, right now. I always neglected Segafredo Espresso in this "GAsometer Bridge". I passed by on my way to the ATM, the Cinema or the Bierometer (which unsurprisingly is a joint focussing on beer and its complementary food and is a good joint overall). However, one day, I went to Bierometer which always delivers the "Hausmannskost" Vienna quality at a very very solid level but got disturbed - sorry: freaked out - by construction noise. I therefore checked in at Segafredo Espresso, located just 30 secs away. And had a beer. This is my 5th time here. Because of the very best Budweiser they deliver. The very best Budweiser one can deliver. The music, the lighting, everything that I despise in regard to this place does not matter anymore. When I got my Budweiser at this temperature. Served by friendly, no: very friendly staff. And they got free WLAN. too. I really enjoy sitting here, drinking my Budweiser, surfing the web and writing this review. This is how it should be. A quality that overrules your prejudices. Some kind of home. Some kind of "never tasted before". And as I sit here, I really wonder why the Budweiser served here tastes better than it tastes at all other places worldwide, including the very own brewery. I am simply baffled.
