Together with the nice people over at xpatrenals.com, a site providing apartments and flats for expats, we’re happy to announce that we started a collaboration showing xpatrentals.com users the best spots around certain appartments. Similar we did with our friends at Immobilien.net in Austria, we are now serving the the best and closest around certain apartments for young, international people in the Netherlands.

After going live in the Netherlands and Poland, today we are announcing our full-throttle launch in Finland! Since our collaboration with our finnish data provider and strategic yellow pages partner FONECTA was harmonious and slick, within only several weeks of preperations, agreements, translations and local market research, we wanted to bring Tupalo.com to Finland as soon as possible.

With FONECTA as our partner aside from existing partners HEROLD.at, De Telefoongids and PKT.pl, Tupalo.com is now serving 2,5 Million valid and up to date business listings. The agreement not only entails a data integration, but also collaboration in terms of PR, Marketing and local events.

Today’s announcement is another crucial step for us to become a major European player in the social yellow pages space. Again, thanks to our finnish friends who helped us prepare this step thoughtfully. Tell your finish friends that Tupalo.com is about to arrive and that should NOW start adding and reviewing their favorite restaurants, share the best doctors, or recommend local salons.

It’s been some successful months for Tupalo. After launching in the Netherlands, continously attracting more and more people out there and seeing our reviews prosper we are happy to announce another major update for Tupalo.com. As of today, Tupalo.com is also going to be fully availble in polish. Not only accessible in polish, but also with our Data partner PKT, Poland’s leading yellow pages provider. We are extremely happy to work together with PKT and to make Tupalo available in Poland.

Poland’s web scene is still rather small, but looking at recent Seedcamp for example shows that there Web/Tech scene is also on the rise and a lot is going on in Warsaw or Krakow.

We are also looking for people who want to help building Tupalo.com in Poland. People who love to share their interest in Restaurants, Bars, Hotels and “things to do” and “things to see” for their country. The Tupalo.com office in the heart of Vienna, Austria has gone Larger Than Life, thanks to our good friends at LTLprints, who recently delivered a package full of beautiful graphics for us to stick around our walls. LTLprints create premium wall graphics, similar to stickers, only not exactly! Their prints are ultra high quality, using a patented print technique, which outputs 1440 dpi wall stickers on premium 10 mil re-positionable fabric paper, which can be removed and re-used up to 100 times, and be up to 7 feet tall!

Austria’s finest music, tech and cultural magazine The Gap Magazine recently celebrated their 100th issue anniversary by compiling a top 100 list of influential people under 40 (or so) who are active in the tech, creative, politics and arts scenes in Austria. A bit of a who’s who in Austria working on cool shit, if you will.

Proudly featured in the list were Mike and Clemens from Tupalo.com, who together founded Tupalo in Vienna, Austria in Spring of 2007.
